Row-Ryb on ul. Bursztynowa cold-smokes long-matured salmon using the so-called rare-smoke method in brick ovens. In season, fresh-smoked fish is also sold at stalls by the harbour.
Row-Ryb is the only standalone smokehouse in Rowy. Their shop at ul. Bursztynowa 4 works out of brick ovens using the so-called rare-smoke method - a cold-smoke technique that keeps the fish from turning bitter and cuts down on benzopyrene residue. Their signature is long-matured salmon, marketed as Polish Pure Salmon.
In summer, fresh fish - flounder, mackerel, sometimes eel - is also sold straight from the fishermen at the harbour, when the cutters come back in. A handful of Rowy places (Rybka na Słono and Chata Rybaka among them) smoke for their own kitchens and serve the results on the spot.
The Row-Ryb shop is open year-round. The harbour and the stalls: seasonal, and dependent on the day's weather and catch.
