EuroVelo 10 leaves Rowy in both directions: 33 km on asphalt to Ustka, 60 km through the national park to Łeba. The local classic is the 30-kilometre loop around Lake Gardno.
Rowy sits on EuroVelo 10 (the former R10 trail), the international cycling loop around the Baltic. Three distinct directions leave the village, each with a different character.
West to Ustka on asphalt - about 33 km, through Dębina and Poddąbie, much of it newly surfaced and without any real climbs. The calm, family-friendly option. East to Łeba through Słowiński National Park - about 60 km, longer and harder, running over sand and forest tracks; after rain it gets demanding. Halfway along, the Kluki open-air museum is worth a stop.
The loop around Lake Gardno - about 30 km, four hours at a steady pace. Start at the church in Rowy on the R10 towards Ustka, turn off at the observation tower towards Retowo, then come back through Gardna Wielka and the forest trails of the park. The surface is mostly concrete slab and woodland track, so trekking or cross bike - not road.
EuroVelo 10 signage is uneven; carry a map or GPX. A few Rowy guesthouses hire bikes. The practical season runs April to October - in late autumn, the sandbar tracks often turn to mud after rain.
