A zoo, a seal house with five Baltic grey seals, and a water safari by boat - all on the grounds of a single complex in Strzelinko. Each attraction is ticketed separately, so plan the family budget before you arrive.
Dolina Charlotty has three separate attractions and each one needs its own ticket: the zoo 35 zł (30 zł reduced), the seal house 25 zł and the water safari 20 zł. Everything is running from May to September, with the zoo open daily until 18:00; outside the season the hours are shorter and it is often open only at weekends. From Rowy it is about 27 kilometres and roughly 25 minutes by car, and for the zoo together with the seal house and the boat trip it is worth setting aside half a day.
Tickets and prices
The main thing to plan for: each of the three attractions needs its own ticket. In season the zoo costs 35 zł, or 30 zł reduced, the seal house 25 zł and the water safari 20 zł. Family tickets are available in 2+1, 2+2 and 2+3 versions, so with a larger family it is worth comparing the prices before you reach the ticket desk.
Opening hours and season
Everything is running from May to September. In season the zoo is open daily until 18:00, and the water safari sails only in those months. For the rest of the year the zoo works shorter hours and often only at weekends, so outside the season it is better to confirm the times before you set off.
Getting there from Rowy
From Rowy you drive about 27 kilometres on the route through Smołdzino and Potęgowo, so roughly 25 minutes. The complex is in Strzelinko.
The zoo, the seal house and the water safari
Since 2006 the zoo has grown into a medium-sized zoological garden, with European bison and macaques, and since 2020 there has been a butterfly house here as well. Five male Baltic grey seals live in the seal house. The water safari is a boat trip between themed islands populated by birds from Africa, South America and Australia.
How much time to plan
About two hours is enough for the zoo on its own. If you want to combine it with the seal house and the boat trip, plan for half a day.
Zoo Safari Charlotta with children and with a dog
Three attractions in one place mean you can build the day around your children's ages: a shorter visit to the zoo alone, or the full programme with the boat trip. You cannot bring your own animals into the zoo or the seal house, so the dog has to stay behind at your accommodation; with us it is welcome in all our properties.
